Inner Journey, The Dakota Pipeline and Billy Marchese
As you may or may not know, the Dakota Access Pipeline, known as DAPL, is funded by investment banks such as, Bank of America, HSBC, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, UBS, Goldman Sachs, Citibank, BNP Paribas, Sun Trust, Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, Mizuho Bank, TD Bank, ABN Amro Capital, DNB First Bank of Philadelphia, ICBC London, SMBC Niko Securities, Societe Generale, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Compass Bank, ING Capital. Other investors include Phillips 66, Marathon Petroleum company, Energy Transfer Partners, L.P, Energy Transfer Equity, LP, Enbridge Energy Partners, Sonoco Logistics LP, (this should be an easy fight) have worked with the North Dakota government for permission to run their pipeline under the Missouri river, just north of the Native American reservation, Standing Rock.
Our guest this evening is Billy Marchese, Billy is an Award-Winning Director/Cameraman & Editor who began working in the film business at age 19. Throughout his experience-rich career, Billy has worked in everything from commercials to feature films, music videos to documentaries and digital content to documentary television. He has traveled to some of the most remote regions on Earth on 6 continents, including Mt. Everest with the likes of BBC, National Geographic, Discovery Networks and so on. In 2001, Billy opened the doors of Contributor Films which specializes in producing socially relevant content on subjects including Indigenous rights, climate justice and the environment. Billy’s documentary directorial debut was “Beyond the Summit – The Everest Environmental Expedition and has done extensive personal work with indigenous pathways, tonight Billy joins Inner Journey to help us know what’s going on at Standing Rock and how we can help.
