About the commentators
Tim Becwar returns to the KX 93.5 broadcast team for Laguna Beach High School Breakers football in 2016. A 22-year veteran of sports broadcasting, Tim recently concluded his fifth season as a member of the UC Irvine Baseball broadcast team and his third season of providing play-by-play for ESPN3 in its coverage of Big West Conference basketball and baseball. Three seasons ago, Tim was a member of the Orange Lutheran High School football broadcast crew. Prior to his work with UC Irvine and ESPN3, Becwar spent seven seasons as a play-by-play broadcaster in the NBA Development League, four seasons in minor league baseball, one season in Arena Football 2, and also worked as a sideline reporter for San Jose State football. A resident of Laguna Beach, Tim is looking forward to a great season of Breakers football and is proud to be part of the Laguna Beach community.
Dan Zeleznik has been involved with football on the professional, high school, and youth levels for 30 years. Dan has led numerous of championship teams, coached in high school all-star games, and has a true love and passion for the game.Dan began coaching high school football 1986 at Gahr High School in Cerritos followed by stints with the Mission Viejo youth football league, Aliso Niguel High School, and Capistrano Valley High School. Dan also coached internationally as the head coach and defensive coordinator of the Assindia Cardinals in the GFL 1 (German professional football league), Germany’s top division. A resident of Aliso Viejo, Dan is looking forward to an exciting 2016 Laguna Beach Breakers football season.
