Barns Courtney LIVE on KX93.5

After recording an album’s worth of material for Island Records that was never released, Barns Courtney was dropped by the label. He supported himself by working as a cigarette seller, and for Currys PC World (a British computer store), and slept on friends’ sofas and in his girlfriend’s car. Now he’s touring the States in his own right and has opened for artists including The Who, The Libertines, Ed Sheeran, Tom Odell, Fitz and The Tantrums, and Blur. He is currently working on his first full-length album, and performed at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival and  the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York. Island Records… who dat? We’re so glad he’s here with his band – laughing with our Tyler Russell and Jason Feddy and playing 2 songs live.
