He is leading the way into the Festival of Mosaics. The Festival of the Mosaics is a hands-on art project in Laguna Beach, happening this fall 2018. Local artist, Mike Tauber, designed mosaic is an abstract design featuring pixellated tones in a sweeping color bleed. It reads like an aerial view of Laguna Beach, from the blue ocean, to tide pools, shorelines, bluffs and greenbelt. Tiny wildlife sihouete tiles will depict their habitat on the mural. This art program is open to the public and offers two activities: tile color glazing workshops, offered throughout the city, and/or hands-on installation of the tiles.
